So, Sigur Ros isn’t enough reason for you to go visit Iceland? Uncommon, but fair. Check this out.
Inspired by Iceland is the coolest interactive tourism site that I’ve seen to this day. Branded for a younger generation, this landing page features all of the necessary resources to travel to Iceland, while providing a glimpse of what to expect. It’s lovely.
Beyond the glamour, imagine how much more travel the typical person would consider if every promotion, advertisement, or shameless plug had as much energy and buzz as you see in this short film? It’s nearly impossible to watch the short film without cracking a smile at the joy and adventure that is captured in under 3 minutes. Just consider how incredibly amused consumers and travelers would be if advertising and artistic expression held hands, tighter than ever before?
Travel often. Do it while the opportunities come about. You’re neither too young, nor too old to see the world and it’s beauty. Don’t wait for the perfect time, because it’s not going to come. Debt, unfortunate circumstances, and “things” are going to come up. Don’t spend your life organizing the trip of your dreams, unless you fully intend to make those dreams come true.
I’m excited for a summer of adventure. I anticipated that the next few months would contrast the 9 months of the year that I’m out on tour. However I have had some amazing opportunities present themselves and have sacrificed the sleep, relaxation, and recognizable feelings of my own mattress for the thrill of new places, people, and sites. Details announced soon.
