As a child, I recall receiving feedback from my elementary teachers about my wild imagination, my uncanny art projects, and the 2-3 page short stories that I loved to write for class assignments. My imagination has never seemed to be lacking. Often times, it probably makes some people believe that the stories I tell today are farfetched, stretched, and manipulated for the sake of the story… but let’s face it, my life is far from typical and the ridiculous things that happen are often unexplainable. This comes from my father’s ability to turn something as simple as “I saw a dog” to a front page of the New York Times report on a new breed of four-legged creatures.
Coincidently, my childhood relates to one of my favorite books of all time, “Where the Wild Things Are”. See just how Max tells a story:
I’ve made a connection with my childhood to my current passions in the world of advertising and branding.
branding- tell your story
advertising- share your story
promotion- be a part of the story
