After one week of review and celebration of another year beginning in my life, I am now ready to conquer a created list of “25 Things to Do Before Turning 25”. This is the 3rd Annual to-do bucket list. 25 was a tougher list to create, as 24 was filled with adventures and experiences that I could barely even imagine doing all within 365 days (new job, skydiving, going to Africa, and writing some poetry. Much like previous years, this list is a diverse selection of tasks, but I have decided upon a central theme this year: “facing the fears”. Several of my tasks are things that will confront fears and discouragements that I’ve faced throughout my entire life. The same rules apply, and I know it’s not going to be an easy. But here’s the list:
1. mentor a student
3. film a documentary
4. ask out a celebrity
5. publish something
6. go on a spiritual retreat
7. go to Bonnarroo 2012 or a significant festival
9. share my poetry
10. finish something significant that I started
11. write a children’s book
12. crash a wedding
13. eat a delicacy
14. visit 5 baseball stadiums I’ve never been too.
15. take time to hear stories from an elderly/older person
16. camp alone
17. learn to speak French
18. learn a new dance
19. go to Europe
20. make a full-course meal for friends or family
21. read more biographies (thanks Adam)
23. write a song of worship
24. print a photobook
25. attempt to start a social movement
here we go. continue the pursuit of living the dream.
Good stuff Nate-O. Miss you bro.
Teddy is a must, Pistol Pete is good, Tebow’s got a book out, Bonhoeffer is a beast of a biography… Get crackin!
