Best Websites of 2010
Alegria: Hope Through Art: A friend of mine in the nonprofit world recommended that I check out this organization of young creative that were doing something bigger than themselves in the art forms that they practices, many in their profession. This is exactly what I want to be a part of someday.

Make Me Royalty : this is my first website created for a job campaign. The entire experience, from ideation to launch, was in a 48 hour time period. It was thrilling, exciting, and a much-needed use of creativity at the given season of life. Not only that, but it opened my eyes to what I am passionate about, the types of “work” that I find purpose in, and even a few meanings of life. Through the campaign, I found the support and encouragement of my closest friends, mentors, and peers. Truly life changing.
MVNUSID: Dave gets social media and people, ranging from interaction with celebrities and large corporations, continual MVNU Sports updates via Facebook creating “Cougar Nation”, and a highly respectable blog. Dave Parsons has been a part of my life for over 5 years now. He helped me establish my first college job, an assistant job in Sports Information. What started by simply running a scoreboard progressed into one of my favorite work experiences as an PA announcer. Over the years, we have continued to establish our friendship beyond the workplace (although the score table and NCAA experiences together have been pretty memorable) and I am continually amazed by who he is. A father, a work horse, a man of dedication, a sports fanatic, an image of the love of Christ. One of the most intriguing things to watch in 2010 was the evolution of his social media presence. Many wouldn’t know (he is humble too), but he was actually one of the first to see the Ted Williams “Golden Voice” viral videos, and spent a lot of time using his networking skills to spread the word about the man’s incredible story. He’s connected with people such as Alyssa Milano, ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Constantine Maroulis, Amy Martin, Rebecca Lobo, and MANY large businesses. Dave simply cares about people, he loves interacting with them, and he has been an incredible mentor and inspiration.
Live Fashionable I’m a sucker for a great scarf. Even more so when its created by an Ethiopian woman saved from a life in human slavery. This was the organization that I supported this Christmas for the gifts of many people in my life. I love what they are doing, they come with great partnering organizations (the Mocha Club), and I will continually watch them emerge into today’s fashion with a greater purpose.
Seth Godin’s Blog: This blog continually provided inspiration and education as I consider some entrepreneurial ideas and continue to dream big in everything that I do.
Digital Royalty : this organization is growing fast and is doing incredible things in the world of social media. I’ve talked with members of their team and love their enthusiasm and hard work. There are some awesome personalities as well! Amy Martin has become a personal inspiration in her desire to use social media as an emerging form of communication, as well as a means of encouraging those around you to be the best that they can be. She would certainly be considered the Entrepreneur of the Year in my opinion because of her ability to connect. Be sure to follow her on twitter @DigitalRoyalty.

I commend you on your task of remembering. May we continue to remember where we’ve been, who God has formed us into, through what He’s brought us through, and who we’ve met along the way.
Here’s to a year where the dog days are left behind. Here’s to a year where we run for each other. May we be each other’s keeper. May we know we’re not alone.
Grace and Peace be yours.
