I finally ventured back home for the first time since Easter. It is refreshing to be somewhere “new”, but it has actually been my dwelling for 17 years of my life. Along with the fresh feeling comes the burden of the piles of clothes, stacks of books, and the scattered possessions that came with me from school. By the time I get everything unpacked, it will be time to load the car back up for Texas.
Fast Fact: According to Wikipedia, the racial makeup of my hometown New Bavaria was 98.72% Whites and 1.28% Asians in 2000. There were 78 people and 35 households. My upcoming movie to Dallas, TX will move me to 9.1 million people in the 9th largest city in the USA.
I hate making this sound like a journal of what I am up too but I am willing to give an update to the less fortunate whom have not heard from me.
Next week I will be driving to Dallas, Texas to start my Marketing/Advertising internship with Southwest Airlines. I went through a tedious hiring process that narrowed down from over 250 people to myself, so I feel very blessed to have this opportunity, and to spend some time with my family in Dallas. Along with that comes many fears, curiosities, and unknowns to come. I am leaving a lot in Ohio, including my comfort, my community of friends, family, jobs, responsibilities and more..
My goals for the summer:
Read some books.. 3-5 is my aim.
Find a softball team or someone to play a sport with.
Travel to at least 5 ballparks that I have never gone too. This is to help accomplish my life goal of going to all of the MLB Ballparks.
I had some thoughts and questions to present or this blog, but I got distracted while writing, leaving my mind blank and exhausted. More to come.
