I’ve been living in San Francisco for 6 weeks now. My time in the Bay is coming to an incredibly fast “end”. We have two more weeks here, which are about to fly by as we have 9 large events at universities all around the Bay area. Last week, we wrapped up our first Finale at UC Berkeley. It was quite the rush and such an energetic evening. It’s incredible how many people work tirelessly so that events like this can happen. Being the Tour Manager has been an amazing blessing so far. Team NorCal is absolutely incredible. We’re from all over the place (Ohio, Atlanta, New Jersey, and Vermont) and we all play a specific role in each event that we host. But one thing continues to be the same: we love these events and love the film industry. From top to bottom, Campus MovieFest believes in the creative talents of young people around the world and what started as the question, “What would happen if we gave people the equipment to create a film in one week?” has progressed into the world’s largest student film festival.
