The fun has reached full swing. I am currently on a sleeper train heading from Venice to Paris, France. It’s 12:08 AM, the neighbors have a crying baby, and our 4-bed cabin is now fully occupied with two students from Kansas University here studying archeology. But what is important is I just missed an opportunity to buy tickets to the French Open. I was browsing a board hosted by the French Open and 2 tickets to the Men’s Semi-Final and Women’s Single Finals popped up for a decent price. I clicked immediately and waited as Google translated the details from French. I put in my details, then came to an abrupt halt. Tickets needed to be shipped, and it had to be done fast. We booked on AirBNB and have not heard the exact address at this point. Seconds later, the tickets were gone. This same situation happened again just minutes later.
Opportunity 1 & 2 have slipped.. I am auto-refreshing every thirty seconds until we lose wifi access because of entry to Switzerland. We would be risking the address that we found because it has not been confirmed that it is the correct address, but it seems like a risk we will try to take. I want these tickets and this experience and am hoping for a bit of good timing and luck.
