It’s been two weeks since I’ve been back in the States from Uganda. It’s hard to believe it’s even been that long. The processing is pretty powerful, and the opportunities to share stories have been surreal. I haven’t cried this much in my entire life, something that I’m learning more about each time. There are still so many stories to be told, though. I haven’t even gotten a start on the post-trip proces to-do list. (Maybe I became a bit less Mzungo there, and that’s why I can’t just sit down and get it all done in one sitting)
Last weekend I was able to share some stories as the photos shown below were a part of my first gallery showing at the Holgate High School Alumni Art Show. I hope that more opportunities to share these children’s stories continue to arise in this season of life.
I want their stories to be told. To be seen. To be heard. To be known.
absolutely beautiful. i’m so glad that you are having this experience.
